Isaias Cuetocue Columbia washed process (microlot) 1600masl
The Tierradentro Reserve, Popyan, Columbia, Catura
Tasting notes: honeysuckle, coconut, caramel
Isaias Cuetocue is a farmer from The Tierradentro Reserve in Popayan where people have been growing coffee for generations. There are two rainy seasons in the Popayan plateau which produces a main crop and a mid crop, meaning fresh coffee is being produced all year round. The altitude of around 1600 metres above sea level, combined with the rich volcanic soil from neighbouring Purace volcano provides perfect conditions for caturra varietal to grow under the lush shade of avocado and plantain trees. The process makes Isaias’s microlot well balanced with a bright, citrus-like acidic and brown sugar sweetness to ensure a clean finish. Try them in a filter or plunger extraction and you will be delighted by the expressions of lush fruit and pleasant aroma.
